State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Aminul Haque has urged the youth to be inspired not only by sports but also by social responsibility, morality and human values. He said that the youth must lead the way to build a peaceful, healthy and humane Bangladesh. He also urged everyone to be vigilant and responsible so that no chaos or disorderly environment is created in the society.

He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the 'Tiger Run 2026' mini marathon organized on the occasion of World Tiger Day at Jahangirnagar University on Tuesday.

Aminul Haque said, "The responsibility of the university is not only that of the vice-chancellor or the administration; as a citizen, each of us has a responsibility towards the state and society. We want to build a Bangladesh where a peaceful environment is maintained and no one gets the opportunity to create chaos."

He said, those who woke up in the morning and participated in this race have dreams, expectations and responsibilities to take the country forward. It is possible to build a healthy society with the help of such young people.

The State Minister said that at first he did not have a clear idea about the 'Tiger Run'. However, he was impressed to know its purpose and significance after coming to the event. In his words, "Such an event should be organized not only at Jahangirnagar University but also at other universities in the country focusing on World Tiger Day. It will be possible to make the youth aware about wildlife conservation, biodiversity of the Sundarbans and the environment."

He said that this event is not just a race; it can also play an important role in developing morality, social values, sense of responsibility and human spirit among the youth. Such initiatives are needed to bring about positive changes by eliminating the degradation of the society.

The State Minister for Youth and Sports said that the government is giving utmost importance to reducing educated unemployment and creating employment. He said, “Our goal is that no educated youth in the country should be unemployed. Our priority is not just to produce graduates, but to create employment opportunities through training, skill development and involvement of various social organizations.”

He said that the executive director of a voluntary organization participating in the program highlighted the initiative to involve about 25,000 volunteers with the organization. Describing such initiatives as positive, he said that the active participation of the youth is essential for the development of the country and the formation of a humane state.

In his speech, Aminul Haque also emphasized on wildlife conservation and compassion for animals. He said that to ensure the coexistence of humans and nature, love and responsible behavior should be developed for all animals, including wildlife.

Reminiscing about his football life, he said that he remembered the habit of practicing in the early morning. He also commented that this marathon organized in rainy weather brought a different level of joy to the participants.

Referring to a demand for development of sports infrastructure from Jahangirnagar University, the State Minister said that if the university authorities send a formal proposal, they will sincerely try to implement it.

Thanking the organizers of the event, he said that such initiatives to involve the youth in positive activities should continue in the future. He also expressed optimism that it is possible to build a humane, developed and prosperous Bangladesh through joint efforts.
