Bangladesh U-20 hockey team will take on Bangladesh national hockey team this afternoon in a high-voltage warm-up match to further strengthen its preparations for the Bangladesh U-20 Junior Asia Cup.

The match will be held at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium at 4:00 PM.

This match is being considered very important for the youth players to hone their strength and skills ahead of the upcoming international tournament. The newly appointed South African head coach of the U-20 team, Giles Bonnet, will be present at the field for this match. This high-profile mastermind coach will closely monitor the players' match fitness, personal performance and their tactical skills in the field against the national team tomorrow.

Earlier on Tuesday in the second phase of the camp, head coach Peter Gerhard conducted special exercises with 24 selected players to form the final squad.

The main squad for the Asian Games will be finalized by selecting the best players in stages. This conditioning camp and special trial are being conducted under the overall supervision of the Bangladesh Hockey Federation.

Earlier, a 24-member preliminary team was announced for the second phase of the Bangladesh national hockey team's preparation camp in view of the upcoming Asian Games. These 24 players have been selected from the 38 players in the first phase after checking their performance and fitness and finally placed in the second phase camp.

Special emphasis will be placed on the technical and tactical skills of the players in the second phase of the camp. The main squad for the Asian Games will be finalized after the practice of this phase.
