The preparations of the Bangladesh national hockey team are in full swing ahead of the upcoming Asian Games. The players are currently undergoing rigorous training at the ongoing residential training camp at the Maulana Bhashani Hockey Stadium.

According to the initial plan, 20 out of the 24 players in the camp were to be finalized for the conditioning camp in Germany. However, considering the overall facilities of the players, long-term development and increasing the strength of the team, the federation has decided to send all 24 players in the camp to Germany for a conditioning camp of about a month. Bangladesh Hockey Federation Selection Committee Chairman Sajeed A. A. Adel confirmed this decision.

Meanwhile, there is great enthusiasm among the team's players and coaching staff about the camp underway in Dhaka. National team senior campaigner Mainul Islam Kaushik said that the field training is being very fruitful. Under the new coach, the players are learning new modern techniques and tactics every day. In this camp, along with practicing modern European-style hockey, the most emphasis is being placed on goal scoring, penalty corners, and quick goal scoring techniques inside the box. German coach Peter Gerhard is working intensively on this.
