The first meeting of the newly formed ad hoc committee of the Bangladesh Badminton Federation was held on Sunday. The meeting, held at a hotel in the capital on Sunday, was attended by President Mohammad Iqbal Hossain, General Secretary Hasibur Rahman Shakil and most of the committee members.

The members of the committee welcomed the newly appointed President Mohammad Iqbal Hossain with flowers at the meeting. After the assumption of office and introduction session, the activities and accounts of the federation in the past days were discussed. In addition, the members exchanged views on the development of badminton in the coming days and the activities of the federation to be more dynamic.

The upcoming Asia Games badminton was given special importance in the meeting. The goal of doing well in this competition was set and the preparation, training and overall progress of the players were discussed. Importance was also given to taking necessary steps to further strengthen Bangladesh's representation in the Asia Cup.

The meeting was chaired by General Secretary Hasibur Rahman Shakil. It was presided over by Federation President Mohammad Iqbal Hossain.
