A two-week-long festival for sports journalists and writers "Cute-BSPA Sports Carnival 2026", organised by Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA), is all set to begin on Tuesday.

Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA) is an ancient organization of sports journalists and sports writers, with a membership of about three hundred. Like every year, BSPA is going to organize a two-week-long Sports Carnival-2026.  Popular brand 'Cute' of Mousumi Industries Limited is associated as a sponsor of the BSPA Sports Carnival.

Regarding this, a press conference was held at the Dutch-Bangla Bank Auditorium of the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) on Sunday. BSPA Vice President Talha Bin Nazrul, General Secretary Sudipto Ahmed Ananda, Sports Sub-Committee Chairman Kazi Shahidul Alam and Sports and Cultural Secretary Raihan Uddin Russell were present on the occasion.

It was informed in the press conference that the upcoming sports festival will officially start at 12 noon on Tuesday, August 25 at the Home of BSPA. The sports festival will be inaugurated by the chairman of the sponsoring organization Mousumi Industries Limited, President of World Archery Asia and Bangladesh Archery Federation Kazi Rajib Uddin Ahmed Chapol. Director (Sports) of the National Sports Council Zahed Parvez Chowdhury will be present as a special guest.

The organizers also said that this time more than a hundred members of BSPA are participating in 12 events in 8 disciplines. The disciplines are: Archery, Carrom (singles and doubles), Table Tennis (singles and doubles), Chess, Swimming, Athletics (100 meters and shot put), Card Games (Collbridge and Twenty-nine), and Shooting. All the games will be held at the Dhaka National Stadium Complex.
