The senior national hockey team defeated the U-20 national hockey team 4-2 in a warm-up match held at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium on Sunday. Both teams put up a great fight in this match organized as a preparation for the Asian Games and Junior Asia Cup.

For the senior team, penalty corner specialist Mohammad Ashraful Islam scored 2 goals, and Amirul Islam and Obaidul Joy scored 1 goal each. On the other hand, Mohammad Abdullah and Taiyab Ali scored two goals for the U-20 team.

Junior team's goal scorer Taiyab Ali expressed his reaction after the match. He spoke about the experience on the field and how eager they are to implement the coach's plan.

On the other hand, experienced senior team player Roman Sarkar discussed the team's tactics and overall performance. He said, "Our game is improving as per the plan of the team. However, we should score more goals from the penalty corner (PC). We have a deficiency in this area and we are working on it intensively."

They said that these warm-up matches are playing a very effective role in bringing the best results for the country in the upcoming international tournaments.

The national team will practice at the Maulana Bhashani Hockey Stadium on Monday at 4 pm.
